Why Seaweed?

Tradition

Seaweed has been harvested from the shore and either plowed into fields or fed to livestock for hundreds of years in coastal communities across the UK. We have brought this process into the 21st century by creating a sprayable liquid solution.

Consistency & Scalability

Farming kelp allows us to time the harvest, ensuring the most nutrient rich seaweed. Growing on lines allows for scalability without removal from wild stock. Much of our seaweed is grown in tandem with mussel farms which leads to increased local biodiversity.

Proprietary Processing

Our gentle fermentation breaks down cell walls releasing vital compounds such as phytohormones, minerals and sugars. Turning these into utilisable molecules for plants and soil. It’s a live product for a live ecosystem.

Sugars

The sugars found in kelp are not only carbohydrate power houses but also increase plant abilities to withstand stress. This is due to the upregulation of stress pathways naturally occurring in plants.

16/17 Essential Minerals

Our product contains 16/17 minerals needed for plant growth. Many are only needed by plants in small quantities. These minerals are present in organic form for immediate uptake.

Roots

Fermented Liquid Seaweed helps stimulate root growth. Deeper roots means better soil structure and more stress insurance. Better root crop yields (see blow) and better establishment for winter crops.

  • Fermentation breaks down large molecules into smaller, plant-available forms - Converting complex seaweed compounds into readily absorbed nutrients

  • Creates premium fuel for soil microbes - Organic acids from fermentation provide immediate energy for beneficial bacteria

  • Delivers both quick and slow-release nutrition - Fermented organics feed plants immediately while supporting long-term soil health

  • Enhances nutrient cycling efficiency - Pre-digested molecules decompose faster, releasing minerals when plants need them most

  • Multiplies microbial energy yield - Aerobic soil bacteria extract 10-20x more energy from fermentation products than raw organic matter.
